Yes, you can use it with OSX. What you need is a LocalTalk to Ethernet Bridge, such as the AsanteTalk, some local talk cabling and 2 local talk converter boxes. I have all that I used to use with my Apple LaserWriter Select 360. The school system where I donated that printer still uses it. A real workhorse. If you would be interested in that stuff, let me know and I'll work up a price. John On Nov 18, 2005, at 10:53 PM, Dorothy Hennings wrote: John, Thanks for the really quick response. It is an NTR with 36-pin Centronics-type port, a 25-pin serial port (RS-232) and a LocalTalk port (DIN-8, RS-422 compatible). I just copied this stuff from the manual. Remember when all computers etc came with complete manuals? George/Dorothy It depends on which Personal LaserWriter you have there were, by my count, 6 different models, with a variety of connection ports, including SCSI, LocalTalk, Serial and Centronics.
