[X4U] SATA-300

I must have misunderstood something here.  The new boxes use SATA.  What is
SATA-300 and how is it different?

By the way, my new Quad [2gb ram] has yet to even start its fans [as opposed
to my dual 2 gz previous gen., whose fans seldom didn't cut in, at least for
a while].
