Finder_Go_ConnectToServer. . .

ftp://username:password@ftp.tripod.com

That way you can save the connection in the drop down menu. You can 
also use different names and passwords for the same server which is 
helpful if you're the webmaster for the site. And why upload is not 
allowed is beyond comprehension. Learn about curl for that. But even 
then you just about have to logout and login to persuade OS neXt to 
update the connection to reflect your new upload.
