[X4U] how to disable the fancy quote mark in Mail.app?

I like to be very careful formatting my mails and the blank lines  
between quoted and unquoted (regular) text sometimes do not coincide  
with the ones seen in the composer.

Is there a way to turn that fancy blue line off and see raw quote  
marks while writing?
