iPhoto 5.0.4 34 seconds to load, 4600 pictures, 83 movies.

(Mac OS 10.4.2, 12 inch PB 1.33 GHz, 512MB memory.)

IOW, in 34 seconds the full library was displayed and was scrollable at
normal speed.

That's acceptable to me.
