[X4U] "Fax PDF" crashes Word '04

Anyone having issues faxing from Word 2004?

I press CMD+P, then select PDF from the drop down menu in the lower left.
The window for selecting the contact to fax to opens briefly, then Word
crashes with, "Tell Microsoft about this..."

There's nothing on the MS Knowledge Base, and I've Googled without success.
I went ahead and posted to Apple's Support forums, but no replies as yet.

I can fax successfully with TextEdit.  I use Tiger 10.4.2.
