One of the things I admire about the Linux/FreeBSD camp is their enthusiasm to help other users, esp. those who do not have high speed internet access. I'd like to think that we Mac users would do no less. As the 105.5 megabytes of the combo updater for 10.4.3 download to my computer at 159 KB/s, I'm well aware that there are folks out there for whom 5 KB/s is the max they are likely to see on their dialup accounts, and a file this big may simply not be possible to download. I'd be willing to help out a few folks on dialup, and presume there are some others who would be willing to as well. CD-R media is cheap and postage, well I suspect the whole thing would top out at about $2/ $3 per CD. I'm hoping that others will step forward as well. If we do, we can help out the whole community w/o it being a burden on any one person. TjL
