[X4U] G5 to PC network

A sister-in-law contacted me in the hope I might help (but I can't,  
maybe you can) to connect a G5 to PC network in a hospital.
Where can I find info about a Mac in a PC network.  The dealer has  
spend time to do, but can't make it, and Apple Belgium
told them that it should work and refuse to help.  So they must do it  
themselves.
Where can be the problem?
