I think that sentence confuses me (I am simple I admit it ;-)
Are you saying that for them to join the PC network, they have to be  
running OS9?
If you are, I am going to say that someone, somewhere, has the facts  
confused.
The network connectivity of OS X far and away surpasses OS 9, IF, the  
network security issues are handled.
