If you hit the center button once while the track is playing, you can scroll through the track using the wheel. Of course you can't hear it while it's scrolling so I don't know if it will help you in the end. Also, mine seems to have the behavior of progressively getting faster as I hold the FF button down. Actually, that just got me thinking ... so I did a little test. It seems that for a "normal" length song (5 min) it will progressively seek faster and faster as I hold down the FF button, but for a 30 min podcast it seeks at a consistent speed of about 20 sec. I suspect it's because the 5 min song fits entirely into cache while the 30 min podcast does not. HTH, matt.
