[X4U] How to disable attached third Monitor?

Hi All,
   I have my television attached to a 9200 Mac Edition in my Dual g5  
running 10.4.2.  I would like to be able to disable this display  
device without actually unplugging it.  The problem is that windows  
may be drawn in the tv's display space, even if the TV is turned off.
