I wrote a response but the server rejected it (the company recently changed our email addresses)... What I said was, if your friend wants to protect against accidentally trashing needed files in the future, you might recommend to her, Tech Tool Pro. It caches trashed files into a hidden directory. The cache size is determined by the user, as is the length of time files can remain in there. If a file needs "undeleting" it is simply moved from the hidden cache back out into a visible folder. This ensures 100% receoverability of the undeleted files (as long as they are still there in the cache of course).
