[X4U] airport and voip

Am about to hook up the voip telephony box. Already have an AirPort  
Express box. Someone already provided very clear instructions on what  
gets hooked up to what -- simple enough for >me< to follow.

However, this poster added instructions about resetting(?) the  
AirPort settings. OTOH, he was unsure whether they were correct. So  
the questions:

Will I necessarily >have< to reset or reconfigure AirPort?

If so, how?
