[X4U] Auto Log out

Both running X.4.7

So I have 2 computers in one of my labs that are set to auto log out  
after 60 minutes of inactivity. Both of these computers start the log  
out process, the desktop goes away, the screen just has the desktop  
pattern on it, and just locks up. The mouse moves but that's about  
it. You can't force quite, nothing all you can do is hit the power  
button to restart, any ideas, thanks Wayne.
