[X4U] Eizo monitor problem

My crt died and so I bought an lcd - the Eizo ColorEdge CE240W. I have a
G4Mac running 10.4.7.

I plugged it in - did the screen adjustments - all was fine.

The problem is I cannot calibrate it because the ColorNavigator software
says it cannot detect the monitor. I have the supplied usb cable connected
from the back of my Mac (no hub involved) to the uplink usb port on the back
of the monitor.

Any suggestions. Like, I want this to work!!! Frustrating to say the least.
