Do some googling.

There was a very comprehensive reliability report a little while back  
with figures for all Mac models going back a few years. Interesting  
reading. There are some particular models (and model versions) that  
fared better than others in certain areas, power supplies being one  
of them.

Some people may remember that there was a huge batch of bad  
capacitors that affected the entire industry including Apple (anyone  
have a 1.25 G4 eMac?).
