Is it a message in four or five languages that says you must restart? That's
a kernel panic. 

What do you have hooked up via USB or Firewire -- anything new? Try
unhooking them and see if the panics go away.

Otherwise, there might be some information in the kernel panic logs as to
the exact cause.
