[X4U] DV stream viewing on OSX (intel)

Does anyone know if a way to make a .mov/quicktime movie that refers  
to a live video source?  Such as my DV camcorder.  I'm thinking about  
a simple .mov file that I could open and which would display the  
video from my camcorder or even an iSight on opening.
