[X4U] FireWire weirdness...

Phil & Linda:

After a few tries, I was able to see the 80GB Maxtor drive in Disk  
Utility and the demo of Data Rescue II.

DU tried to fix the problem, but I quickly received an error message  
saying that it couldn't do anything, so i downloaded DR II to see  
what it could come up with.

DR II will be cranking away for the next ~244 hours ... gah! ... and  
that should let me know if I should pay for DR II to get my files off  
that disk. $99 for DR II doesn't seem to heinous given the amount and  
type of work related files I need to retrieve.
