Nor if I store my data on a volume with another filesystem. Resource forks are kept, but not comments as I know. No, Apple missed this one badly. I agree with the file transfer though somewhat and the privacy issue. Obviously Microsoft keeps metadata in their office documents and here privacy does become an issue as you indicate. Björn
