[X4U] iPhoto 6 editor doesn't...

When I click the Edit button, the image doesn't appear. If I choose  
Using full screen I get a black screen, if I choose In separate  
window nothing happens, if I choose In main window the window is  
white. I've deleted preferences, rebuilt everything (using command- 
option when starting iPhoto), I've also run the 10.4.4 Combo update.

1.25 GHz PowerBook.
