[X4U] Change video brightness on the fly

Other than QuickTime, what video players feature the ability to  
change the brightness on the fly?
I have VLC, MPlayer OS X, WMP for Mac, and Real Player.  Can't find  
any brightness controls in any of them.
And speaking of QT, I just tried it with an .mpg, and nothing changed  
when I slid the brightness slider.  Why would that be?
