I have a strange problem with my shared printer(s) and network. My network is a Linksys Router (b) connected to my DSL modem. Hard wired to the router is my dual G5 2.0 that is running OS X 10.4. There are two printers connected via USB hub to the G5. Occasionally, when I try to print from another computer on the network, I get the SBBOD (Spinning Beach Ball of Death). It is totally random, and I can not relate it to anything I do with the G5. This problem afflicts all other wireless computers on the network (my iBook, my kids' iMacs, and even a PC that has Bonjour printer sharing on it. The fix is this: Force quit the application on the remote computer (Safari, Word, whatever). Then reset the network: Power down the modem and router. Let the DSL modem power up, then power up the router. Invariably, this works - but only for a while. Anyone else have such a problem? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==- Time flies like an arrow.
