Thanks for the Pierce Law link.

I looked at it and it seems to indicate that there is no legal precedence.
So all we can do is speculate on the legality.

So, the only practical issue here is the list TOS and if and when you will
get banned from a list. If the TOS is really annoying, the list will
fragment. Remember, we don't own the server. This is just a snailmail
chatroom that is useful for solving macintosh problems.

Well, that takes care of this thread.....<insert something similar but not
too similar to a smiley here>
