[X4U] Ginormous windowserver.log file - HELP

Woke up this morning to a "Disk Full" message and after running Disk  
Inventory X, the largest file is a windowserver.log file that is 5  
GB!   I rebooted the machine, and now that file has been replaced  
with a windowserver_last.log file and is 5.2GB in size.

Any ideas what might be happening?   Has OS X not run it's monthly  
house cleaning utils?   I kept the machine on overnight (didn't put  
it to sleep)

Thanks for any thoughts and/or suggestions...
