Actually, I don't know what he's talking about. On the PC at work, I have to click an icon in the toolbar at the bottom, and go through a couple of other clicks to eject an external. With the Mac, hyou just drag it to the trash. What's he doing? I don't know about automatically opening in Thumbnail view. I can't imagine why he would want that anyway. But maybe someone else knows how to set that as a preference?
