[X4U] Monitor Resolution Question

I found 2 different LCD monitors on-line - a 20 in. and also a 22 in.

 They both said that their standard resolution was 1680x1050

Question: I'm confused - how could they both be the same resolution but also
have a 2 in. difference in their size? Shouldn't the 22 in. have more wide
pixels than the 20 in.?
