So how large is the overhead of the file-system when I drag & drop a  
file onto a DVD-R on my Mac?

Does it make a difference if the disk I'm writing to is a DVD+R?

Could you possibly supply this information for both single- and dual- 
layer variants, please?

If you can't answer any of these questions, please don't waste your
