Exactly. Seems as soon as email apps got smart enough to handle the  
"error" when people forgot to bracket URLs, people stopped adding  
them all the time (or at all). Yes, the "new way" is better, but the  
"old way" is still more reliable.

And I also agree on being able to see where a URL is pointing.
