Yes, that was the day the store opened, and it is the date that their system
shows I purchased it.  Yet Applecare says it expires two weeks earlier.  I'm
glad to hear that this apparently isn't normal since I typically recommend
people buy Applecare with thier systems (this is the first time I've done it
myself).
