[X4U] ITunes - Creating Separate Libraries

I have a ton of songs in iTunes. editing - searching and finding stuff is
getting slower and slower.  I seem to remember several years back that there
was some way, (I Think involving AppleScript) to have multiple separate
libraries within iTunes, but I can't quite remember how this was done.  So
basically - I would like to create a few separate libraries - possibly one
for current music - and another one for archive music - that I will keep but
seldom use. 

Q: What is the best way to create several different separate libraries in
iTunes?
