[X4U] Rosetta on MBP

I received my MacBook Pro last week, hadn't had any problems with it  
until today.  I opened Word X and when I quit out of it I can't open  
it or any other program that requires Rosetta.  After a restart all  
was fine until I opened Word, again nothing that requires Rosetta  
will run.  Is there a way to jump start it without a restart?
