A couple of months ago I looked up search terms entered into google  
by people in different localities and at different time - that is I  
was able to choose a word, location and period and be presented with  
the results. This way one could  (in a rough and ready way) see what  
interested different  parts of a country or countries.

Unfortunately I can't remember nor find where I was able to do this.   
I see google has a 'zeitgeist' section where is present such  
information but does not seem to offer the ability to look up terms  
of one's choosing.

Anyone any idea where where this amazing facility can be found.
