Björn and the list, Hi! Thanks... Finder preferences have been deleted a number of times and have forced quit finder after that, and Finder is NOT trying to connect to a network device. It is a stand alone computer and not normally connected to the internet. I have looked to see if that is a problem but it appears not. (My connect to server box is empty, and the last time I used that option was more than a year ago....)
