You isolate hers by setting the router to forward the VNC port on its Internet side to the VNC port on 10.0.0.1 Do you (or your Mum) have control of the router? If it's a shared router (as in a housing community), someone else may have got the VNC port redirected to their machine on the local NATed subnet. In that case you'll have to get another unused port to be forwarded to your Mum's VNC port, and use that from your Chicken.
