As someone who used a tray-loading G3 iMac with 10.2 Jaguar, I assure you there was very little to be happy about. 10.3 Panther was a major improvement, but was also the last version of OS X supported on that hardware. The hard drive limitation is one annoying part of it. The maximum size of your startup partition is limited to 8GB, yet Apple recommends you keep 1.5-3GB free. -- Eddie Hargreaves
