DON'T!!!!  I totally killed a DVD drive on a QuickSilver by doing  
that--worst thing was that I had had it only 2 weeks!  The good  
thing, Apple replaced it free of charge.  This was back in 2001  
though.  But still, it taking a risk that I sure wouldn't be will to  
repeat.
