Nearly a year ago, Apple removed the word G3 from the Leopard Sneak Peek pages: <http://theappleblog.com/2006/08/08/apple-removes-mention-of-g3s-from-leopar d-pages/> Had Leopard come out when it was originally promised (end of 2006), you're correct that it would've been much quicker than normal for Apple to drop support of some models (Apple was still selling G3 Macs as late as early October 2003) But considering that Leopard has been delayed by nearly a year, the lack of support for G3s is far less notable. By the time Leopard comes out, the latest G3 model will be four years old. Generally there's a five-year window during which OS updates are applicable, but it's not set in stone (clearly). -- Eddie Hargreaves
