[X4U] Change where Spotlight Searches

John and the list,

John, thank you, but, this changes where Finder searches, but does  
not seem to affect anything when I bring up spotlight using the  
"option-apple-spacebar" (default) keystroke.

Maybe someone might have a suggestion, please?

That's not Spotlight, but Finder's Find. Click on the Desktop, click  
on Home, enter a search term, and, when it finishes,  click on the  
upper, left-hand button. Click on the Desktop and CMD+F. That should  
pop up with Home selected...
