I believe only one of your email accounts wants the non standard port 
number
587. The rest of your accounts probably want to use the standard port 
number
25. So if you changed all your email accounts to the new 587 number that
maybe why their not working...

My ISp changed to port 587 because it is a more secure port.  Some ISPs 
refused to accept mail under the old port 25.
