Without going to JVC's literature, I can only presume they mean the difference between 1080p (for progressive) and 1080i (for interlaced.) This involves the way the image is drawn on screen: drawing all 1080 lines at once or interlacing 2x540 lines (odd then even numbered lines). -----Original Message----- >From: Robert Ashton <rashton at telus.net> >Sent: May 16, 2007 8:50 AM >To: "A place to discuss Mac OS X for the casual user." <x4u at listserver.themacintoshguy.com> >Subject: [X4U] Have a question and it doesn't belong in this group but I'm going to ask it anyway. > >What is the difference between 1920x1080 and 1920x1080i? The reason >I ask is just purchased a JVC GZ-HD7U and on the camera it states >Full HD 1920x1080. But in menu in the camera it only states >1920x1080i. I hope that I don't upset anyone asking this question. >Thanks Bob >_______________________________________________ >X4U mailing list >X4U at listserver.themacintoshguy.com >http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/x4u > >Listmom is trying to clean out his closets!
