Running Safari Version 2.0.4 (419.3) w/10.4.9 and with this in Terminal: defaults read com.apple.safari WebKitShowsURLsInToolTips I get back: 2007-05-28 11:37:57.258 defaults[1538] The domain/default pair of (com.apple.safari, WebKitShowsURLsInToolTips) does not exist However, hovering the cursor over the URL window and bookmark bar entries, the tooltips pop up with the URLs. I'm at a loss to understand why it's not working on your machines without activating the setting.
