[X4U] Time Machine

Has anyone had any issues with Time Machine?  I've had bad luck with  
it . I have had one kernel panic and several lock ups running TM.    
During the lock ups the only thing I could do hold the power button  
down for a hard restart.  :(

I just read this article this evening on Apple's site about  
repartitioning the drive using "GUID", I'm giving it a try now.
