thanks...I think I go the free graphic front-end route....

I will do the other method when I'm more awake...that guy's  
instructions were simple enough, but I wasn't finding the locations  
he mentioned..

I found usr fast enough, but not

  /usr/local/bin
/usr/local/man/man1

or

  /usr/local/etc
