[X4U] persistent icons in side bar?

Hope my title isn't completely confusing...

I have a couple of drives which I turn off overnight or whenever I'm  
not using them, in order to conserve electricity.
when I turn those drives back on and re-mount them, their icons have  
by now disappeared.

Is there some way to "make" the side bar hang onto those icons in the  
same way the dock does, so that when that volume comes back online, I  
can use the icons without having to re-drag them all back into the  
side bar?
