Well....let me qualify my statement... The glossiness is eyecatching, but it, in of itself, is not why the screen may look better. If it's a better screen, it's a better screen. The glossiness is eyecatching, which is exactly why most manufacturers are using them now. Marketing. Like turning up the brightness on TV's in the store to catch you eye. But they greatly increase the potential for eyestrain. It all depends on your lighting in your work area.
