The thing is, the Brother has a network interface (ethernet 10/100). 
The Epson Perfection has only USB2. I'm not aware of a way to network 
that.  An Airport Extreme is listed for sharing only certain hard 
drives, and printers. I'd also be interested in hearing if anyone 
knows how to network a USB2 scanner.
