If I interpret your question correctly, you can force a Time Machine backup to occur when you are logged into your Mac from a remote system, using the command: /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd.bundle/Contents/Resources/backupd-helper & (You can also enter this command in the Terminal application.) (The "&" at the end allows the command to execute in background mode, so you can do other things while it is working.)
