At $800 it would indeed be a steal. 

Why are so many people trying to compare the Air and its price with a
standard MacBook? The Air is designed to compete with subnotebooks from
Sony and Toshiba and they are above $1800. If you don't want a small, 3#
laptop, get a MacBook. I'm looking forward to my Air's arrival!
