[X4U] Windows closing in Leopard

I am using Leopard 10.5.4

When I mount a compact flash card from my digital camera to download  
the images everything works fine. I have firewire card readers. When I  
click on the eject button in the window side bar most of the time the  
whole window closes instead of just having the CF card be unmounted.

Have others had this experience?
